Now we're rapidly approaching then end of the third winter of Bird Atlas fieldwork, I thought I'd highlight a few squares missing some obvious species.

TF36 (West Keal, western end of Spilsby)
Teal, Shoveler, Pochard, Great-crested Grebe, Little Grebe
Cormorant, Curlew, Kingfisher
Willow Tit, Nuthatch, Brambling

TF37 (Salmonby, Bag Enderby)
Teal, Shoveler, Great-crested Grebe, Little Grebe
Little Egret, Snipe, Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail
Nuthatch, Linnet

TF46 (Spilsby, Burgh le Marsh, Scremby)
Great-crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Coot
Willow Tit, Nuthatch, Brambling

TF47 (Alford)
Wigeon, Shoveler, Great-crested Grebe
Cormorant, Little Egret
Sparrowhawk, Merlin
Lapwing, Woodcock, Curlew, Redshank
Little Owl, Tawny Owl
Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail
Willow Tit, Brambling, Siskin, Reed Bunting

If anyone can fill any of these gaps then that would be really useful. Either sign up for the Atlas via http://www.bto.org/birdatlas/ or dro me an email at mark_jee@hotmail.com

Thanks in advance for any records you can supply!

A couple of us from the BTO covered some tetrads in TF47 and TF57 yesterday and cleared up a few species. Hightlights were 9 Woodcock, two Green Sands and a Marsh Tit in TF47 (the latter calling in Welton Wood) and Peregrine in TF57.
