To date none of the 2009 records under consideration have been rejected. However, a number of records are in danger of being rejected because there is little or no associated information.

A full list of species requiring further information will appear on the forum in the very near future. And, a list of species that have been rejected will also appear on the forum and in the 2009 report.

A large number of records, with full description have not been verified by the whole of the committee (e.g. they may have only been accepted by 2 members so far, but require a minimum of 4 votes to be accepted), hence their absence from the list - the two birds mentioned fall into this category. At the moment there are approx. 200 records still to be verified by the committee, future posts will keep forum member upto date with the desicions of the LBC Rarities committee.

Is this OK Roger??

I hope to have all 2009 records verified by the end of March, so work can start on the 2009 report in April 2010.

Hope this answers your question

Regards

Andrew
