Help!

I am now high tone deaf(too many years working on airfields).

Walking back from the pub tonight ( Lincs Poacher, Wragby road Lincoln towards Hawthorn chase)

I moved out of the way on the walker/cycle track for a bike, I thought! , the sound of a muted bicycle airhorn warning me of said bike, nothing seen , horn again nothing then 10 secs later a whirr of wings.

Thought's please.

Cheer's

Brian.

Brian,
Whatever you had in the 'Lincolnshire Poacher', I'd try something different next time......Bell's, for example. :D

Regards,

Freddy

several birds make odd calls when moving at night for example Coots migrating in March sound very odd but not sure your description would fit Coot though?

Hi All,
I was coming back from the Berkeley pub last night and near my home heard a bird calling out"aaarwick,aaaarwick"-god knows what it was,all i could think of was maybe a lapwing on a off day,i actually thought at the time if Graham was here-hed have known, but maybe not after his interesting comments, ive never heard anything like it before-you start thinking,a mega rare bird is flying over me!!!its happened before strange sounding birds, most ive known,i.e
redwings, golden plovers, could be an eskimo curlew going over,or a Dodo,
Rog.just realised flightless bird-would be good beer!!!!
