Someone called 'Yeldham007' on the Springwatch Message Board is asking for some help regarding a possible sighting of a Raven in the grounds of his/her school near Horncastle. Can anyone verify if they've been spotted in the area? This is the post Yeldham007 made:

Quote:
At my school in Lincolnshire there has been a huge corvid over the last few months. It is massive and hangs around after break and occasionally attacks the windows! I looked up the differences between ravens and crows and became convinced it was a crow as it said ravens have wedge shaped while crows have fan shaped tails. However, after seeing them on springwatch they look pretty fan shaped to me! I highly doubt it was a raven, but could it have been?!

I said I'd look into this - can anyone help the poster with his/her query?

Always a possibility but more likely Carrion Crow is hanging around surely?? I have seen some big Carrions that have made me look twice - call will be the clincher!
