Lincolnshire Bird Club Report 2009 Progress on the LBC 2009 report is ongoing, BUT the deadline of Sept 2010 is looking a little optimistic, unless I can get a few more volunteers to help with this exciting project! If you can offer a little help (no matter HOW small, please get in touch), I would love to hear from you (email me - chairman@lincsbirdclub.co.uk)! To date we have completed: (i) 2009 Weather (ii) 2009 birding year summary (iii) Ringing summary (iv) All finders report (v) Two papers (Yellow-browed warblers in Lincs and Mute swan) (vi) Majority of photos collated (vii) Front cover (see below!) This is an important project, please consider getting involved..... |

Yes, we are running with a flying theme again with the LBC 2009 report, and this image by John Clarkson of the Barton Pits Alpine Swift really looks good! I hope everyone agrees.... I would like to thank all the photographs who sumitted images this year (far too many to actually uses unfortunatley...) I am hopefully that some of the pages will look really smart. However, we seem to be missing some images of certain rare birds that occured in 2009, and I think this may be because they may only be considered as record shots. I am keen to include images of birds that are referred to in the text, and I will be posting requests of these ispecific birds in the near future. Andrew |
