Lincolnshire Bird Club Report 2009

Progress on the LBC 2009 report is ongoing, BUT the deadline of Sept 2010 is looking a little optimistic, unless I can get a few more volunteers to help with this exciting project!

If you can offer a little help (no matter HOW small, please get in touch), I would love to hear from you (email me - chairman@lincsbirdclub.co.uk)!

To date we have completed:
(i) 2009 Weather
(ii) 2009 birding year summary
(iii) Ringing summary
(iv) All finders report
(v) Two papers (Yellow-browed warblers in Lincs and Mute swan)
(vi) Majority of photos collated
(vii) Front cover (see below!)

This is an important project, please consider getting involved.....

Yes, we are running with a flying theme again with the LBC 2009 report, and this image by John Clarkson of the Barton Pits Alpine Swift really looks good! I hope everyone agrees....

I would like to thank all the photographs who sumitted images this year (far too many to actually uses unfortunatley...) I am hopefully that some of the pages will look really smart. However, we seem to be missing some images of certain rare birds that occured in 2009, and I think this may be because they may only be considered as record shots. I am keen to include images of birds that are referred to in the text, and I will be posting requests of these ispecific birds in the near future.
