Message from Chris Gunn (Mrs) - chris@cgtraining.co.uk

I am the BTO RR for Lincs North and wondered if anyone had any breeding records for TF09, TA10 or TA20 or could help with collecting breeding records in these areas during August?

Thanks

Chris

BTO North Lincs Newsletter June 10

Atlas Update

Can I thank you all for your contribution to The Atlas this season? The coverage is now in the high 90% so well done all. Please could I ask the few of you who may have done a survey but not entered the records to do so as soon as possible or if anyone is unable to do the survey they have signed up for please could you let me know so that I can have as full a picture as possible before the start of the next season?
Can you help?
There are three squares in Lincolnshire North where only 75%-90% of the expected birds have been recorded in the breeding season. If you live in any of these areas or fancy a day out to somewhere different could I encourage you to visit and send in some Roving Records? It would be superb if we could achieve over 90% in all areas by the end of August.

The areas are as follows:
TA01 - Worlaby
TA10 - Limber, Cabourne, Swallow
TA40 - Somercote Haven, Grainthorpe Haven
If you are able to take on a tetrad for the last year of The Atlas the following are required in order of priority:
TA30 one of ABCEIKMQW
TA20 one of DEMNUVYZ
TF09 one of CDEFG
TA10 one of ABCEFGHJMNPTUVYZ
SK99 one of DKQW
TF19 one of BDFIJLMNSZ

Conference
There will be a joint Lincolnshire Nottinghamshire BTO Day Conference on Saturday 16th April at Riseholme Agricultural College near Lincoln. More details later.

Hi Terry and any other readers who are not submitting their sightings for the BTO Atlas. If you log on to the BTO Website - www.bto.org - and click on Bird Atlas in the top left hand corner, it will show you how to Register. It is very simple to follow and will allow you to submit "Roving Records" of your sightings. It has to be simple to be easily followed by people like me!!
