its about time that crime against wildlife was taken seriously by the courts in this land, its about time that unscrupulous gamekeepers were also brought to book and the people whom employ them who turn a blind eye.

A man trying to take 14 Peregrine eggs, taken from the wild, onto a Dubai bound plane has today received a 30 month custodial sentence - see www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-11024315 This just shows that it is essential to keep the location of nesting peregrines and other rare birds of prey out of forums such as LBC website, unless they are at 'secure' sites such as Lincoln Cathedral, Grantham Church etc. Alan |

Well said Alan - it is essential that the whereabouts of the nests of rare/and some Schedule 1 species is only made available to the County Recorder - not for the viewing of all on an open Forum. |
