Hi All.

Let us try and help all the conservation bodies and start a log of what does not seem to be surviving the FREEZE!!!!! or DOES.

It will be of Major interest to All on what we can record!!

Especially for the general state of the countryside but the spinoff will be of immense to conservation in general(more ammunition) in so many ways which cannot be Quantified in the normal way..........

BTO, RSPB, Wildlife Trusts or just interested observers HELP

Administrators/Moderators please add a section for the above to the board.

Cheers

Brian.

Ps. I will post on LBC as well and elsewhere.

Clearly a poor day for me as I'm struggling to understand what is being suggested here: are we to submit records of corpses or living birds? How would this differ from the normal submission of records? How is this going to help the RSPB for example?

One way to help would be to sign up for ttvs in the BTO Atlas. We have a wealth of data from the last 3 winters and taken together average Lincs ttv bird counts in different areas of the county for Dec/Jan/Feb will make interesting comparisons with the last 3 years.

Signing up for a BBS square for next summer would also be a help in helping show how resident breeding bird populations have changed on a local and regional basis.
