Post subject:  First peregrine egg

The first egg in Bob Sheppard's nesting tray at St Wulfram's church was spotted by eagle-eyed Bob at around 7am this morning, but it wasn't until around an hour later that we could get a good picture, showing this anticipated event. You can see live video images at:-

We know that the nest tray was empty at 23:00 on 29th March and the female was roosting in 'window' in the walkway wall adjacent to the box. So we know the egg was laid sometime beween 23:00 on 29th and 07:00 on 30th but would like to hear from anyone that can't sleep and may have logged in to the birdclub's pegcam who can narrow this period down with either positive/negative sightings please.

Alan
