Hi,
I believe Rob Humes book, the rspb book of birds of britain and europe is superb, all stunning photos, several of each species, each bird having a full page to it,similiar species shown, other info maps etc, someone had one in the hide the other day and i thought i must have that!.
in comparison the collins is crammed with small entries and illustrations,
This is the book i use now,the 2011 edition has a cd with 99 songs/calls etc also!!!.
super book all i show it too are impressed and say they will get it,wheres my commision publishers??
Rog.

Personally,i think the Collins Bird Guide is unbeatable,so much information in one book along with some stunning illustrations, just superb!.
