Anybody think the Bullfinch is a shy bird? We have a nesting pair in a thorn arch at a height of 2 m just 2 m from our front door! They are going about their feeding cautiously using a back entrance to the bush but well aware of our presence on the patio almost in touching distance. However, we are not the only neighbours - there is a Greenfinch nest with recently hatched young just 1 m away from the Bullfinches. Anybody got any similar experiences? Peter Overton |
