Hi,

Due to the bad weather we've taken the decision to close the Frampton Visitor Centre today (Sat 19th Jan). It might also be closed on Sunday/Monday if the forecast is accurate, so please be aware. I'll update here if this is the case.

The reserve and hides remain open for the brave.

Thanks,

John

I'm afraid the Visitor Centre will remain closed all day on Sunday.

Hi the VC will be closed again on Tueday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd. The reserve/hides remain open, but the toilets (which are in the VC) will not be available. There are very few birds at Frampton on the freshwater/scrapes/grassland habitats as they are all frozen over and covered in snow. Most birds are on the Wash, so you can see them from the sea banks. But your best bet is to walk down to the Witham Mouth (from either side of the river) where business is normal. The roads to Frampton (and Freiston) are not gritted, so they are covered in a layer of snow/ice but are passable with caution.

Cheers,

John
