A small group of Song Thrushes in Bourne Woods 7th Dec. One or two singing for short periods. This may not be territorial/breeding season song, it is likely to be little bit of 'tuning up' for their eventual return to northerly breeding areas. Redwings often 'sing' in large gatherings later in winter for the same purpose. No doubt the Mistle Thrush, a notoriously early breeder, reported as singing by Stuart Britton was singing on territory.
