Barton and Far Ings

At Far Ings the visitor centre suffered minor flooding, the access road was damaged and is still under water. Fortunately Ness End Farm did not flood. The freshwater pits are flooded with seawater

At Donna Nook the fence and buildings were damaged. Seal mortalities appear to be low but the seals are now dispersed throughout the sand dunes.

At Gibraltar Point the Visitor Centre and Wash Study Centre flooded to 2ft. Seawater has flooded the freshwater marsh.

Gibraltar Point NNR

Still closed due to extensive flooding of the Reserve. Visitor Centre and toilets closed.
Vistors are asked not to visit until further notice.
