Is it just me who found the BBC Springwatch presenters irritating ?
During the recent series, I found them often to be condescending and patronising both to the viewers and to wildlife.
It was as if birds were no more than little gentlemen in feather coats whose sole purpose was to be "star turns" for the presenters who cast themselves in the role of circus master of ceremonies.
What really took the biscuit was when a luckless hawfinch was trapped, then had a finger thrust in its face to showcase the pecking power of its bill. The camera then cut to the face of the presenter who provided suitable mock-grimacing expressions. Pitiful TV!
Where's the respect?
IMO, the show needs an overhaul and a fresh team of presenters.
Or am I just being unnecessarily grouchy?
