Friday 21st November Here we are approaching the latter part of November and I have yet to see a Fieldfare this autumn season. I have noticed an influx of Blackbirds a couple of weeks ago and Redwings have had the hawthorn berries to themselves so far. Coastal reports in 'Sightings' appear to have only reported a trickle of Fieldfares so can we expect the hordes to arrive when the weather turns more seasonal? |

Hi Michael. There was a decent sized flock of Fieldfare at Dunsby Fen today. There has been a regular flock around Frampton roads, which have proved a nice diversion when the Rough-legged Buzzard goes wandering. |

Is it possible that some crash into wind turbines - offshore and onshore - as they arrive from Nordic climes? |
