We received an email from BBRC secretary today which I have copied below. It would be really helpful for us and BBRC if finders could fill in the standard rarities form and thereby also ensure that the bird is attributed to them.
A form can be submitted on line or printed here: http://www.bbrc.org.uk/submit-a-sighting

Hi Johns
We are getting to the time where if a submission hasn’t come into BBRC from 2014 then it may not make our Annual Report, published in October’s British Birds
The record(s) below are on Birdguides with a photo so I guess they are OK. However it would then be published (if I get time to extract the photo from BGuides, and there’s no guarantee that will happen) as ‘per birding information services’ rather than with the finder’s name. Also the dates are often a day or so out with BGuides.

So much better if you can persuade the finders to fill in the standard form and return to me. I attach one for you.

I hope to hear from you soon. I emphasize it really is getting very close to dead-line time J
Regards, Nigel Hudson (BBRC Secretary)

Hi John

The links will only work if you subscribe to Birdguides so some will have no idea what the links refer to.

Any clues?

Thanks Russ
The first is a Broad-billed Sandpiper at Gib Point 29th July 2014 - no idea who found it, no report submitted
The second is an Arctic Warbler at Donna Nook last Oct - I now know it was found by Barry Clarkson and a report will be produced one day

John Shaunausy (Sorry if I've spelt that wrong) was the finder of the Broad billed-sandpiper I'm sure Kev will be chasing him up to write the description. There are photos of the bird on the forum album aswell
