Unfortunately, the scrubland site (near Grimsby Town FC) where a red-backed shrike was an attraction in August last year has now become almost inaccessible for checking on migrants.
Landowners ABP have installed additional palisade fencing and more Keep Out notices. There is also CCTV so any "trespasser" is likely to be nabbed by a security officer.
A group of nearby residents have been trying to get a long-established footpath through the site confirmed as a pedestrian right of way but this is being opposed by ABP, so the prospects look iffy.
