Dear all,

A plea !

Between 2005-2007, I have operated a colour-ringing Common Tern project at two breeding sites in Bedfordshire.

A total of around 100 birds have been ringed during this period, each with 2 colour rings on their left leg and metal BTO on the right, this sequence allowing year and location data.

In the next few weeks (and months) as post breeding adults and juveniles start to wander and form roosting flocks it is possible that these birds could be in your area.

Some of you have been kind enough to report sightings of colour ringed terns before - thank you.

Please keep a look out and report any sightings to -
www.ring.ac.

Best Wishes

Mark Thomas
