hi
having just received information on arctic tern photo`s from edmund mackrill quote it looks like arctic tern to me ,but bill looks a little large and some red at base .also light angle on plumage gives overall grey cast so not much contrast however absence of secondary bar and primary pattern are artic. comments please many thanks d. davis.

A bit of confusion here. I am referring to Don's pics in the album which are under Common Tern. Nice Arctic Tern pics GPC - I'm not totally familiar with bill colour this late in the year. Do juv Arctics keep red on the bill all winter?
