Hi, I hope you might be able to help me with a query about Worlaby Carrs. I've read a lot about this site on the forum and am hoping to visit over the Xmas break. However, I live in the West Midlands and, while I can find the general area on a map, I've been unable to find any details about the site. In order to get the most out of my visit I'd really appreciate some more information about access, parking, etc. Are you able to help with this or could you possibly suggest someone I might contact for advice. I visit this site from the Lincoln area and take the A15 and turn off to Brigg. Through Brigg and out on the B1206 to Elsham , turn left on the B1204 to Worlaby , go through the village and take the last road on the left ( I am sure it is called Carr Lane ) . This is an unclassified single track road. There is a parking spot approx. half a mile on the left with room for perhaps 5/6 cars . This is the most popular spot for viewing although you can follow the road all the way down to the railway . I am sure that any winter visit will prove productive and you should see other birders parked up and viewing. hope this helps. |
