Post subject:  The AGM and Talk - a 'Thank You'

Anne Goodall (Hon. Chairwoman), Janet Eastmead (Hon. Secretary) and the other members of the Committee are to be congratulated on a successful and well-organised AGM on 31 March.
Alex Lees' superb talk on 'Avian Vagrancy' was accompanied by a wealth of photographs, charts and diagrams. I particularly enjoyed the various cameos of both 'sibes' and 'yanks' including Red-flanked Bluetail, Yellow-browed Warbler, Pectoral Sandpiper and Blackpoll Warbler. It was enjoyable meeting up again with 'old' faces ( incl. Dean Eades and Alicia, Andy Sims, Terry Whalin, Russell Hayes, Pete Haywood, John Lusby and (even) Stewart Britton) as well as putting 'new' faces to website names.
The 'Admiral Rodney Hotel', Horncastle is a great venue for the AGM, with its welcoming reception area, excellent facilities, efficient bar staff and well-equipped private room for our meeting, certainly conveniently enough placed for Lincoln and certain other areas - although it IS a very long return journey (2 hours plus?) from N. Lincs.

Regards,

Freddy
