Message from North Lincs Highways and Planning Dept

Just to let you know the new bridge to the bird hide at North Killingholme pits is now complete and the surfacing of the road will be finished today so access will be available from tomorrow, 9th April (in time for easter weekend). Apologies for the inconvenience caused by the roadworks.

As I cannot reply to the other part of this tale because Andy has locked it, I'll do so here.

I also appreciate what Dave does believe it or not, I did say on the other thread that I wasn't blaming him.

I'll nip over to the pits some time soooooooooooooon lol

Thanks for the news.

Max

Roger, just to enlighten you, Dave Bromwich is the Assistant Director (Reserves) of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and is responsible for all the Trust Reserves including Messingham Sand Quarry. Thought you ought to know in case you bump into hime there.

Thanks Graham,

Could have had another wasted trip.

Could someone let the forum know when the work is well and truly complete!

Max

Called at Killingholme briefly on Monday, 4th May. Not much about; 1 curlew, 2 lapwings and a few B
T godwits, but the road is finished. I parked at the top of the road, just room for 1 car!
Cheers, Patrick.
