came across a small pond while cycling thru countryside from Broughton to Santon, lots of broad bodied chasers and 1 emperor dragonfly. Could not get near enough for pics so i found a dead plant stem, stuck it in the mud and sat next to it and waited, and sure enough they were landing on the stem within minutes enabling me to get decent pics.
