Post subject:  Whisby 29 April

Once the sun broke through, turned out to be a pleasant afternoon, particularly so in sheltered areas out of the wind.

The northern side of Teal Lake produced......

40+ Large Red Damselfly
40+ Common Blue Damselfly - inc sev mature males
1m 2f Azure Damselfly
1 Blue-tailed Damselfly

Of belated interest, one of the volunteers at Whisby reported a Dragonfly last Wed also at Teal Lake. He was unable to identify it, but most probably a Four-spotted Chaser, always the first Anisopteran to be recorded at Whisby.

Regards

Grahame
