Brown Hawker - 12
Southern Hawker - 6
Common Darter - 1
Black Darter - 2 [lifer for me]
Emerald Damselfly - 3 [ lifer for me]
Common Blue Damselfly - 32
Blue-taled Damselfly - 25

This is by far my best day ever! Only been interested in these for three years. Because I spotted the Black Darter and Emerald Damsel, Dave said I ought to change my username to Hawkeye, lol...

We were here nearly four hours.

Is the Black Darter a record for here?

with Dave Johnson.

:D

Black Darters occur there most years whether they breed there or come from the large population in Laughton Forest is not proven but as they mostly seem to be adult males then the latter could be the case--the species is a known dispersal/migrant but breeding is uslayy confined to acid environments which would exclude the Hale;
