Post subject:  Smallred-eyed damselfly sites

Spent Friday and Saturday looking for Dragonflies. Small red-eyed damselflies at every site I looked! These areas follows:

Friday 10th
Crowland Bridge pond
20+ in small pond at Crowland end including several egg laying pairs.
Welland Bank pits
about 20 seen on broad leaved pondweed by the car park.
Kirkby on bain
About 10 on Mosquito lake, I then checked the two large old pits along the roadside (behind the works) several hundred if not thousands on here. saw four emperors but dipped on the LE. Small red-eyed may be the second most common dragonfly at this site!

Sat 11th
Boultham Mere
About 20 in the newly excavated pond near the hide.
Whisby
I didn't have time to check here properly. I only had time to check a couple of the roaside pits, however the on first pit I checked I saw 7. I expect there are more where suitable habitat exists.
