Got involved in a discussion this morning about what we should call the area currently known as DONNA NOOK FLOOD RELIEF SCHEME PONDS, POOLS or whatever.
Can we get our heads together and agree a name, a short sensible name for this place?

Best so far. Be nice to get a two word title like Donna wetlands but that doesn't quite work does it. Let's see what else turns up.

How about Stonebridge Wetlands - it's only two words?

We haven't yet got a name for this location on the database. Records are currently assigned to Donna Nook.

Cheers,

Colin and Sheila

Like the 'wetlands' that is certainly spot on. Both words are ok, I think best so far.
Yes, it isn't really identifiable on any database yet is it. Hopefully we can pool a few more ideas and get a consensus on it.

Congratulations John, that was the elephant in the room  and I for one wasn't going to dare say it! I feel you should win something now. Won't it be great if that name stuck

Thank you kind sir. It seemed the obvious choice and after much thinking :D It would be a lovely legacy for my name to be used. Just think when I'm long gone and birders are saying how did "Donna's Wetlands" get it's name, well it was "Max" who came up with the idea

Just as well I didn't put my other choice down  cos there is no way the powers that be would have used that and if you want to know what it was Colin send a PM  .

Take care

JTG
PS: whoever gets their chosen name picked will there be a cutting of the ribbon :P
