Many thanks all - the shots are easier when you can approach (within reason) without the risk of flushing anything - there is no top ground predator for anything to be worried about. Thus enabling my basic camera to be used for the majority of the time.

One of the good tricks though is wait until they come to you - curiousity on their behalf seems to win against impatience on mine!
