The Lincolnshire Bird Club

With all these storms trashing the country and more stacking up out in the Atlantic we need some sort of respite, some sort of escape. What better than gathering with a few gentle folk to be transported by words and pictures to Murcia, Spain. So, if you are having your MOJO battered by deep, merciless, depressions then come along to the slide show on 13th November, at Far Ings NNR, Barton upon Humber. Come on, chin up and whoop. Let the wind shake the walls whilst we huddle and wonder at Mandy West's sunshine adventure.

The talk will start around 1900 and by about 2100 we shall be stretching our legs and considering a pint down the pub.

It is free entry and open to anyone who wishes to enjoy Mandy's talk.

It was nice to see many new faces at the talk last night, especially as the weather could easily keep people from leaving their thresholds. Once huddled, Mandy transported her audience to Murcia and we soon forgot the outside world. Tales and pictures of great birds, great landscapes, great people and culture as well as hearty local food dishes and enviable weather poured from the screen and washed our frosty exteriors. Cakes and conversation deepened our evenings adventure and everyone left invigorated.

Thanks to Mandy for stepping up to the plate, without her first time nerves and bravery we wouldn't have had our virtual trip to Murcia. I would recommend Mandy's talk to anyone considering any future talk programs.
