While I was in Ireland I picked up a couple of issues of the "Sherkin Comment" the environmental quarterly of the Sherkin Island Marine Station and a thoroughly good read it is. Much of the articles concern Irish environmental and natural history issues but there is much valuable comment and material of interest to us all especially regarding birds. There are also articles on other areas of the world including material on internationally important environmental issues. I thoroughly recommend it to all and I for one will be taking out a subscription - at only £7 a year (UK) it is too good to miss.
