I am very suprised by the fact there has be no thread about this bird, considering it's only the fourth record of marsh sandpiper in Lincolnshire so its certainly a mega for lincs. I'm sure i'm not the only one wondering about this bird.

From what I gather the bird was found on Monday at Alkborough flats and stayed the night only to leave for Blacktoft sands at 06:15 the next morning. And has been seen today again.

As far as I understand only about half a dozen people saw it at Alkborough. One or two late on Monday night when I understand it was near dark and three (I think) on Tuesday morning before it flew off westwards. It had certainly gone when I got there at 06:50. There were at least twenty birders there hoping for the best but then the report came in that it had crossed the Trent and was at Ousfllet Screen at Blacktoft Sands. It was as far away from Lincs as it could be and still be at the Blacktoft reserve so I suppose we were lucky that it was found at all. I did put a report in the non Lincs section yesterday
