Post subject:  scope advice

Hi all, I need some advice re scopes. I have been carting a bushnell spacemaster with 15 to 45 zoom around for the best part of 30+ years or more now and having entered my second childhood i have deceided to buy a new toy. I was at rutland last week and was shown an opticron ES80SD with a HR zoom E/P for around £500. Would this be a good buy or can anyone suggest a better option. PS need to buy soon before wife finds I have spare cash
cheers
Danny

The Hawke endurance ed range are optically very good for the price
eg the endurance ed 65 with 16 to 48 zoom stay on case at £399 from Cley spy.
regards John.
