went to have a look for the pallid today near patringham haven saw mr c spent around 2hrs or so in high wind and poor weather generally with a sighting of a ring tailed harrier reasonably close but all i saw was a view of the back as it turned away. it sure looked like the bird with the hand and secondries but a look up its tailpipe as it flew at least 1.5 miles without give a view off the face or breast is not what you really want. so clever me saw where it went down and took a sighting because you could see the spurn road and it looked not to far from it. so me thinks in a direct line from the pumping station to 2nd windmill from the left and about 400 yds from the road. right me thinks i will get round there and get a better view. what a plonker !!!. gets to the spurn road sights up the pumping station, can't see the windmills, moves down the road till i see the windmills gets a sighting can't see the pumping station so i finished up for an 1.5 hrs at spurn whilst all the others were viewing the bird from where i had just left. still i am at hospital in hull at 10 in the morn so i will have another look and i will have more time then. no doubt the 8 people there had a bit of a giggle, hmmm very funny, still thats birding

terry whalin :D
