Suddenly my garden is bereft of birds. It's a biggish garden of shrubs and trees but it is MT. Anyone else suddenly got an empty garden. (Compared to same time last year).

I've not seen a Starling in the garden for nigh-on 3 weeks. Baffling.

Colin,

Do you tend to have a lot of Blackies, if so they are here, have got a dozen after the berries :)
Considering I saw five separate broods this year in garden I think they are mine, cos some are this years birds. Hope they leave a few a for a Waxwing ( ).

I tend to have upwards of 50 Starlings after the berries but this year none. So that's unusual.

Cheers

Max

No sign of starlings at all, one blackbird seen in a nearby garden this morning and; shhhh, I had a blue tit and a great tit in garden this morning, wonder if I should inform rare bird alert!
I have an apple tree still loads of apples on it and on the ground and still no blackbirds.
