Good morning all,

I hope this post is not deemed inappropriate for a 'Lincs' bird forum...

My friend Andrew Amery is taking part in the Great British relay - a continuous relay race around the coastline of mainland Great Britain. He has signed up to run the 13km section of the race between Keyingham and Hollym, and will be raising funds for Spurn Bird Observatory.

Although Spurn is not part of Lincolnshire, I'm sure many of you will have visited the reserve and enjoyed everything this wonderful site has to offer. The Observatory plays an important role in the monitoring and protection of the birds and other wildlife that use the site, and relies on donations to support this vital work.

If you would like to make a donation please do so by visiting Andy's Just Giving page -

https://www.justgiving.com/Andrew-Amery4

I'll also put a link to the Great British relay page here if you'd like more information -

http://gbrelay.com/east-coast.php

I completely understand that not everybody will be able or willing to make a donation, but for those who can, I offer my sincere thanks on behalf of Andy and Spurn Birds Obs. If just a small percentage of members make a nominal donation (£1, £5, £10, £100... ) he'll be that much closer to reaching his target.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
