For those of you who visit the Churchill lane area of the Saltfleetby Theddlethorpe NNR you will know the line of c 300 metres
of ancient willow trees alongside the footpath/MoD track on privately owned farm land
Sadly these have been felled recently even though they had a tree preservation order, the Tree preservation officer for ELDC and forestry officers have been informed and have now inspected the site and measured the volume of felled timber and all the stumps, and matters re this issue are now with them to proceed .
A very sad sight now, and several local people are very angry and upset and have complained to the TPO officer by email.
