Are juvenile herring gulls bigger than adult herring gull?
The reason I ask is because today...and tonight..a huge grey gull (which after looking at images of gulls and closest was juv herring gull) was in a field but it's the biggest gull ive seen..bigger than those ones that eat your chips at the seaside..more or less first time I've took an interest in this species..mainly because it was huge and unlike any gull ive seen before..if not easily answered I will post image..(when I remember how to resize for this site)
