May I make a double proposal re the 2018 agm.

a) That, as trial, it is held at a ground-floor location for the benefit of members/ visitors who find it difficult to climb/ descend stairs .

b) That, as a trial, it is held on a Saturday with a 2pm start, to encourage additional attendees (including potential young/ new members) and those who are reliant on bus transport or who dislike driving on country roads after dark.

The traditional venue, the Admiral Rodney in Horncastle, is attractive but it doesn't suit everyone.

An alternative venue might be the Stanhope Hall which is also in Horncastle.

I hope the committee might consider these suggestions at its forthcoming meeting.

No problem with point a. However, for the information of the Committee, I for one would not attend a Saturday afternoon meeting.

I have made a note of your request and will add it to the agenda for the meeting on 25th July. If I have time, I'll investigate the alternative venue you suggest.
