A sighting of a pair of this species was made on the forum earlier in the day, presumably by someone unaware of the 'rules'.
It would seem that the moderators have deleted the entry very speedily.

Rog, you need to source your quizes from more obscure places:
http://www.englishnature.org.uk/about/teams/team_photo/HumberheadNNR05.pdf

now my quiz:

1) which is the most misidentified raptor in the UK?
2) who is consitently the funniest member of Lincsbirdforum?
3) what is the most amusing bird common name of all time?

You got 1 out of 3 (of the answers I had in mind anyway) - so still all to play for....

I'm afraid all question answers are subjective:

1) in all probability its Kestrel or Golden Eagle for lay people. Amongst those that should no better, its probably Gos.

2) too many contenders, but the irrepressible Roger gets my vote

3) Phalacrocorax carunculatus every time for me

In that case with at least two out of three I declare myself the winner and claim my prize whatever that may be. However, I should point out, Alex, that in my (subjective) opinion you are wrong on one count.

John

Since I have never met Alex, and the LBC profile doesn't say, can you tell me if Alex is female or male :?:

I asked Rog today at his second home [MSQ] is Alex a female, and he said he wasn't sure.
