Afternoon all, Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the best time to go bird watching. Is it early in the morning, late evening or anytime? Thanks, Barry. |

In my experience, early morning is the best. As a ringer for over 25 years I have found that passerines are most active and likely to be caught from dawn up until about 8.30am at this time of year. They are also moving about quite a bit for a couple of hours before dusk. Waders are best seen at high tides or when feeding areas become exposed. Hope that helps. |

Thanks for that Stuart, much appreciated. As I'm only really a beginner, I want to optimise my chances of seeing as many birds as possible. Thanks again, Barry. |
