Not Lincs I know, but an interesting bit on the BBC website detailing how a Godwit travelled non-stop for 11500 km at around 40 mph taking a week to get from Alaska to New Zealand. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6988720.stm Alan |

That is an impressive accomplishment by any standards, what about the 8week old Godwits, they are about to take the same 10,000mile trip as the parents - just 8 weeks of age I thought the 40mile Winter walk of the Emperor Penguin through Antarctica was a hard one to beat |
