Went out to refresh the bird feeders this morning and as usual, once my back was turned, down came several collared doves.

I noticed that the nyjer feeder was looking low so I returned outside with some fresh seed - no doves, just a pile of feathers scattered below feed table blowing in the wind.

Boy that Sparrowhawk is fast!
