Dear All,

I would like to organise an LBC trip to Minsmere one weekend in Feb/March. I would look to travel down on the friday night and stay over then spend the Saturday birding and travel back in the evening. Or depending on weather forecast could shift it to travel down Sat come back Sun.

If only handful of people then taking our own cars could be best. If not it might be worth hiring a minibus, which would also help with sharing the driving.

I'm ashamed to say I've never been to Minsmere and rather than just go ahead myself thought it would be good to share the experience with other Lincs birders.

Thoughts please

cheers
ADAM

if you are stopping overnight make sure you have accomodation booked well in advance. Anywhere along the A12 corridor you struggle at any time of the year. Well worth the trouble though, good luck and good birding,

Thanks for tip Terence

Could all people please let me know their full name, tel/mob no., email (if they have one). In a couple of weeks when most people who are likely to commit have responded I will pick a date and price up the trip and let people know.

People can email me their details at adamdenard45@hotmail.com or phone 01427 788047.

cheers

I need to get a good idea of numbers before I investigate accommodation availability.

Therefore, I propose that the trip starts with travelling down on the evening of Friday the 8th Feb, o/n in B&B, birding on the Saturday and return to Lincs that evening. If weather really bad, shift it to Sat 9th travel down and stay over, coming back Sunday evening.
If you generally are interested please don't be shy, as I would like final numbers ASAP to sort out accomm and transport, with a final cut off for registering interest on Sun 27th Jan.

Will phone Minsmere overweekend for recommended places to stay and additional info. Anyone reading this who has any tips, all info gratefully received.

cheers
ADAM
