I heard yesterday from one of my birding mates, that some of the tight wads, who did'nt want to join the Bird Club have formed there own bird forum,is this true and has anyone else heard about it?I heard that one of our eminant ornithologists has joined, don't know if this is true, but it does'nt surprise me one bit.

Regards

Steve.

The alternative forum is
http://lincsbirders.freeforums.org

I think it's good that people that either can't afford to join LBC or don't wish to join can still contribute info to fellow birders.
I am still a member of LBC but disagreed about the change of policy for this forum.
I am sure the two forums can live together.
Geoff

Had a quick look and, if as they say "imitation is the sincerist flattery" here is proof.

Looks like another icon has to be added to the desktop. It also looks as if one or two old friends have been resurrected

Perhaps now the Bird Club Forum will be used for what it is intended - accurately recording wildlife in the county. I suspect this will cause some comments but from whom?

[EDITED POST: Stuart’s and Max's original messages were deleted because I personally felt that their content was too confrontational. I have decided to leave this repeat message but would like to remind everyone that the LBC Forum is for accurate recording of wildlife in Lincolnshire, be it on this forum or on a 'break-away' forum. To the admin team member who wrote the above,

I have just read the web report on the General Birding section written by Andy. He says and I quote, "he looks forward to the good humoured banter" which is usually confined to the Chat Section.

If as you say this forum is for the accurate recording of wildlife in Lincs, does this mean there will no longer be any more good humoured banter? I don't need reminding what the forum is for.

Sounds as if you are going to take the fun out of our forum and be serious all the time. Why don't you remove the emoticons while your at it!
