I note a marked decline in bird reports recently. Could it be the inclement weather? I imagined incumbent Yellow- bellies and long term immigrants to be hardy perennials. Where's your input? - I hear you ask. Well, my blood is still thickening after years of soft living in southern Spain. So there! Or perhaps some are out are out in protest at Bill Oddie's demise! Born and bred in Lincs and consider myself quite hardy having worked a good part of my life outside, but not for many years. My excuse for not putting any sightings on here is "the usual problem" for those who know me they know what I'm referring to ![]() By coincidence I received an e-mail from a birder I know recently saying "I was missed" and it's nice when someone says that. All being well I should be out and about again soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon ![]() Max PS: another reason could be they are getting bored with the latest long-running saga about the Goshawk, soon be time it was locked! ![]() |

Have not ventured out much so far this year due to a mixture of my back injury ( always worse in bad weather ), a new granchild so i have spent time with my daughter in Birmingham and just the all round misserable weather conditions. I am taking the local RSPB group to Titchwell on sunday so after then i should be clear for local birding. Terry Whalin ![]() ![]() |
