Very poor and non-existent effort by Lincs MPs to participate in this initiative. Out of the entirety of the Midlands (which the site puts us in), not a single MP in Lincolnshire is supporting Earth Hour. These are the ones taking part: Janet Dean, MP for Burton Patricia Hewitt, MP for Leicester West Brian Jenkins, MP for Tamworth Lynne Jones, MP for Birmingham Selly Oak Paul Keetch, MP for Hereford Bob Laxton, MP for Derby North Bill Olner, MP for Nuneaton Nick Palmer, MP for Broxtowe Andy Reed, MP for Loughborough Alan Simpson, MP for Nottingham South Gisela Stuart, MP for Birmingham Edgbaston David Taylor, MP for North West Leicestershire Paddy Tipping, MP for Sherwood Joan Walley, MP for Stoke on Trent North David Wright, MP for Telford And as far as councils are concerned, only the City of Lincoln Council is committed. None of the higher education centres have signed up either. Depressing. |
