I now have confirmed dates for a return trip next year - it will run from 3rd-17th November 2018
We shall visit various parts of Costa Rica including the Highlands (home of the Resplendant Quetzal), Caribbean middle elevations and the Southern Pacific/Osa Penisula. Then onto Panama to bird the Cerro Azul (Blue Mountains) We will travel to the Darien area where we shall spend a couple of days with the colourful, indigenous Embera tribe and live as they live during our stay (not to be missed!) before heading on a expedition to find the world's most powerful eagle, The Harpy Eagle. The tour will be at a relaxed pace with time to enjoy the culture, food and the varied birds/wildlife that these countries have in abundance.
The group size on this trip will be limited to 6/7 guests and 2 places are already taken.
I still also have one place remaining for this year's trip (November 11th-25th) for a single female on a room share basis.
The guide price for the 2018 tour is coming in at £2875 per person based on two sharing a room. Single rooms are only available for the Costa Rica part - in Panama the rooms will be shared...single supplement cost for Costa Rica is £300.
Price includes, airport pick up/drop off in CR, transportation, driver, all the accommodations, all meals starting with dinner on arrival day and ending with breakfast on departure day (except for dinner on Nov 19 and lunch on Nov 24th) bilingual guides, entrances to national parks and reserves, all the activities as described in the itinerary.
Not included: Airfares, departure tax ($29 each departure), alcoholic drinks, personal insurance and other personal costs. We will need to book a short flight from Costa Rica - Panama ( depending on the airline, cost is between £100-200 return)
I am at the Birdfair this coming weekend on the Costa Rica stand in Marquee 8 (stand number 23) so feel free to come and have a chat should anyone be attending.
Regards Mandy
