Yesterday morning I was looking out of my window, when there is a commotion and a Male Sparrowhawk dives on a Collared dove which is grubbing around on the driveway. The doves sibling runs away flapping it's wings head down. A large woody hops across the garden flapping it's wings and starts to attack the startled hawk who is still sitting on the dove. 2 other woodies land and join in the assault on the hawk very agressively beating there wings on the hawk. The startled hawk has enough and fights his way through the woodies and flies of with his dove breakfast. I've seen sprawks mobbed like any predator in the air but not on the ground.
