Neil Drinkall found a Leach's Petrel on the Humber off Winteringham Haven this morning.
It lingered in the general are for a while but became elusive as the tide went out.
Linda & I didn't get to see the bird but whilst looking for it found two juvenile Spoonbills on the mud beside Read's Island - easily viewable from the road. Unfortunately they got flushed by a Hercules aircraft that made a low run up the estuary and were last seen heading for Yorkshire.
Lots of thrushes moving west today, I saw about 200 Redwings over my house in less that 5 minutes mid-morning. They were flying quite high and quickly. Fieldfares & Redwings were also moving west along the Humber

Hi Roy,
I had 3 separate groups of redwings,from first light to around 10am,going past my sentry box at r steel,totalling about 80 all heading roughly south west,good record Leach Petrol!,i had one at msq a few years back.
